Does anybody know? I know quiet a bit about cars but have never ran in to this! It's on the front top of the engine. The top radiator hose runs into it.

I believe you're talking about the same housing were the thermostat sits in , those aren't hard to replace , just un-clamp the hose going to it , unbolt the housing , then clean the surface on the engine that the housing connects to , clean the housing and make sure that both surfaces are fully dry...

just have the rotors turned and use a semi metallic pad back on it,they last real good and have good stopping power,ceramic is the best ones to get but their a little pricey right now,good luck. Reference:been a certified mechanic for 40 yrs now.
