Dodge Caliber 2007
I recently purchased a 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT with appoximately 19000kms. I find the exterior and interior of this car very pleasing and I am also very impressed with the gas mileage this car is giving me.
But I have two concerns:
1. I find that this car gives a very rough ride
2. Also there is a lot of road noise coming to
the interior. Especially around the doors and windows.
I hope this is not normal for this car and it can be corrected.
Waiting patiently for your response concerning this matter. Thank you.

My Dodge Caliber
I really like my caliber, I purchased it back in July 07 but it seems to have a defect or something because I actually have been put into 2, a used 07 caliber that I bought at 22k miles and everytime I would drive my car it would automatically shutoff on me and the dealer that sold it to me couldn't find anything wrong with it, But it kept doing so, So they put me in a brand new 07 caliber with only 6 miles and now I have reached the 28k mile mark on my caliber and it is starting to shutoff while driving, (Like my old one did) and so I am reaching out and trying to see if anyone that owns a 2007 Dodge Caliber ever had the same situation and never found a problem??? It seems to do it after the vehicle hits a certain amount of miles, I'm guessing around 22k miles or more. If any please respond back.

My 2007 Dodge Caliber
I really love my Dodge Caliber. I have had my car for almost 2 years. I have never had a problem with my car at all. I have SXT sport with dohc. I have 31000 miles on my car and not 1 problem. I would also like to say 2 months after I bought my car a drunk driver hit me and there was $15,500.00 worth in damage. They paid for my car to be fixed and not totaled. I was at a dead stop and he hit me at 65 mph and you could not even tell there was that much damage. I had it fixed the exterior and interior and it is like brand new again. This car is great. I have no road noise or anything like that and it drives smooth. Matter of fact I have owned a Chevy, Ford, and Pontiac and this dodge out of all of them is the smoothest most comfortable ride we even slept in it. We put down the seats and threw some blankets down and it was comfortable. I have to say after experiencing this product I will never ever buy anything but DODGE!!!

Caliber Schmaliber
I am sorry to say I own a 2007 Dodge Caliber. I was in a situation where I needed a car quickly and thought this was a great option. I have a 2001 Sebring convertible and LOVE IT! But the Caliber is the greatest let down of my automotive owning experience! First off, the dealer never told me that Cruise Control is an option and mine does not have it. Are you kidding me? How can you offer a car with power windows, locks, AC, anti-lock brakes and other power options and not have that? The Caliber also lacks any sound insulation. I have to blast the stereo whenever I go over 25 mph! Then when I stop, I am blasted by the stereo. I hear, quite clearly, every little bump & crack in the road as if I were driving over speed bumps. There are also so many little whistling sounds mostly from - are you ready? - the Rocker panels! It took me several days to finally locate where these were coming from, but I did.
I would not reccomend this car to people I hate! The only redeeming quality of this car is it gets ok mpg's and the steel blue is a nice color. Other than that, the Caliber miss-fired!!!!

Caliber
I love my 2007 Dodge Caliber. I dont understand the differences in some of them....it seems that many people have legit complaints but I have never experienced any of them. I love the car!

2007 Dodge Caliber
I have a 2007 dodge caliber, it reached the 60,000km recently and unfortunately problems started. I had to have the front axle replaced, the dealer was good enough to do this under warranty even though it was 2000km over. After this it was the control arm bushing @ 64,000,km and the dealer wasn't going to cover this one but agreed to after they told me my brakes needed work ($500) and they would do the bushing IF i got my brakes done there. I also agree with the road noise in the car and the whisling, drives you crazy!

I bought a Caliber R/T in June 2007. I have since had my bushings replaced, bearings, control arm, suspension, and it is currently in the shop for a new drve shaft. The tires also make my car sound like a heliocopter and I was told then need to be replaced. (I havent even hit 30,000 miles) I have had no support from the dodge dealership. I can not wait to get rid of it. I owe $17,000 and its only worth 10.

2007 Dodge Caliber
I bought mine used and have had it for one year. It has a lot of exterior noise inside. The engine no longer seems smooth and I can feel it shifting. I also notice it rev's much higher than what it used to when climibing a hill. Recently drove through the Rocky Mountains and my husband did not feel that the motor power was suitable for the size of the car. Okay car for putzing about in.

I have had my Caliber for 3 years and not once has it let me down, not once. The miles that it does to one gallon are exceptional and the safety on this car is great. Their is not exterior noise and the ride is smooth!
The only car for me is a Dodge.

2007 Calibre 36,000 miles
Needs FRT shocks, struts, outer tie rods, and lower control arm bushings. And the rotors are pitted.
Any body interested?

I purchased this car used from Budget with 16,000 miles in 07. I now have 40,000. I recently had the radiator and oil pan replaced because there were cracks in them. Has anyone else had this problem? Yes they were under warranty but my question is why do we pay for flaws in the manufactured items?

I own a 2007 Dodge Caliber > Almost from day one there were problems with the door hinges . Recently while on the highway one door hinge seized up where I couldn't get the door closed without using pressure on the door to close . This caused damage to the fender. This hinge was replaced and now the other hinges are giving the same problem. Anyone else with this problem?

I got a 2007 coliber last year for an anniversary present and I like it. It is kid friendly and proof! I recently drove it from California to Georgia and it handled great, except on steep hills it would putter, engine not too powerful for those hills. I have had no problems but my breaks are starting to squeel. We got a good price on it and think it suited the price. The noise does get bothersome but its tolerable, and the way it handles whn in rush hour sucks! At 25 it feels like it is between gears. Drives me nuts. But overall, its a decent car for running kids everywhere!

Okay, here's the deal, I bought this car it's a 2007 dodge caliber, I got in from driver time. 7 months after I bought it the alternator went, followed by the battery which is normal after the alternator. Here's the messed up part, this car has all hard to find parts, new breeds. the mechanics say it's a puzzle. everything is weird. I have had nothing but problems, makes so much noise. everything makes a noise..this car is a pain in my butt!!!! if i didn't owe 16,000 more i'd get rid of it. I bought it with 55,000 miles, now at 71,000 miles 11 months later.. btw the window motor is going, mirror fell off, weather stripping, terrible gas mileage in the city, air went quickly, it's a mess. i wish it was better :( i hate buying a lemon, especially for 17,900 dollars at 16.5 percent interest and bought it USED, it used to be a rental car.. oopsies!!

I bought my 07 new, the R/T edition, non awd, which was a mistake. The car handled great for the first 36k miles, then it started wobling, handles like absolute garbage when it snows, and that's with excellent snow tires. Which fyi, thanks to the crap chrysler 'special' aluminum rims that bend/dent when a slight breeze blows on them, tires are double the normal price. The rims on the car are 500 bucks a pop, with out tire! Oh and thanks to the DANDY CV2 trans, it's 500 bucks to change the trans fluid! JUST THE TRANS FLUID and FILTER. I can't fit my snowboard in it. Now at 70k miles, have already replaced the brakes, outer tie rods and it runs like garbage. It still looks great, has had no accidents but I'm already pricing old toyota 4x4's just to make it through winter. and like some one else mentioned, if i didn't owe($14k) more than it's worth ($8k) i'd take it to an army base and have them shoot it with their tanks! This car is just awful, my lawn mower runs smoother and I'm seriously considering letting them repo it. heh heh, that'll fix the banking system!

I have a 2007 Dodge Caliber and when I bought it I loved it...however it did NOT take long to start hating it! I have not even had this car a year and have had so many problems...I think i've taken it to the repair shop almost 10 times in less than a year. It costs me more money to repair, than to just buy a new one! Now that i've had these problems, i've heard bad comments about this car and I wish i would have done my homework first...however I have also had problems with my car shutting off... stopping as soon as i crank it up..does it quite a lot, and its very bothersome.
