2009 PT Cruiser air intake?
I wanted to put an aftermarket air intake on my car but am a little confused. There are basically only two brands K&N and Airaid. My confusion comes with the K&N. I found a 2008-2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser - K&N Cold Air Intake - 63 Aircharger - Direct OE Replacement but it says it only improves 7 horsepower... the other is K&N 63 Series AirCharger...

up to means if you had a chip or exhaust on it then opening up the intake adds alot more power. Use K&N though they're a great brand you won't be dissapointed. Reference:Mechanic 15 years

2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
I have a month already with my pt and i had a mechanic check it and he says that the motor mounts are worn out and thats why the car moves when i change from park to drive.. how do the motor mounts run out.. and in how many years? does it sound reasonable that theyre already worn out? it has 40,000 miles already..

Some of the motor mounts wear out prematurely, that's the bad news. The good news it is probably covered under warranty. Make an appointment with a dealer for replacement. Reference:Airport Chrysler tech 10+ years

Why should I also consider these? X

The Chevrolet HHR was introduced as a 2006 model, and many saw it as a direct competitor to the popular PT Cruiser.

The HHR is marginally larger than the PT Cruiser, and it tends to be a better driver because its chassis and powertrain technology are a generation newer than the Chrysler's.

With the introduction of the high-performance HHR SS, the PT Cruiser has no direct competitor for this model.

The Jeep Compass, also a product of Chrysler, is actually a carlike tall wagon and boasts better handling than the PT Cruiser—along with more standard features and a lower price.

And the Compass offers all-wheel drive; the PT Cruiser doesn't.

The Scion xB is another potential Chrysler PT Cruiser competitor.

The xB has a boxy body style that some might find more fashionable and more modern; the xB’s interior isn’t as roomy as the design might lead you to believe, though.

Finally, the upcoming 2010 Kia Soul, which goes on sale halfway through the ‘09 model year, is another promising rival, a tall, very boxy wagon that offers perhaps the best fuel economy of any in this group.
