What exhaust system would best suit a 2009 Chevy Silverado 1500 ext 5.3L flex fuel?
I am looking for something that will open it up a little, that does not void any warranty, and that sounds pretty mean. I don't mind spending some money for a quality product. The vehicle is currently stock.

stay away from flowmasters.. i recommend Magnaflow, CherryBomb Vortex.. gibson isn't bad but the only catback they have that really sounds good to me is the Dual Extreme

having researched it for my 2000 at one point, much over 280 wide in the front rubs when you steer. but 305 does fit all around, they just cant be turned fully. with the right rim offset to keep the wheel centered in the wheel well, you should be able to go possibly as high as 355 in the rear. BUT...

The Silverado's toughest competition comes from Dodge, where the all-new-for-2009 Ram gets a vastly improved ride, better handling, and some innovative cargo options; the Ram's engine lineup is strong as well.

The Ram's interior isn't quite up to the level of the Silverado's, but it's worth a look.
