2002 Chevy Monte Carlo overheating problems?
It over heats randomly but goes down after a few min. It goes up a little not to the red line. Turning the heat on high in the car doesn't cool it down. Check engine light comes on but goes away when it cools down.

My guess is that the sensor is bad, what you are seeing is not a real over temp problem in most cases.If this is happening in a short time span such as a few minutes, it is a sensing problem and not a real overheat issue.
