Tech 2 hooked to the DLC, that is the only way. Will need to have all the key fobs present also. If you program the new one & forgot the other at home, it will erase that one & it won't work. All have to be programed together

How good are they in the winter and it's a V8 4.6 liter and I don't under stand what 4.6 liter means? Does it have to do with power?

4.6 liter is its displacement, the volume of air that can fit inside the cylinders. it could hold a little more then two full 2 liter sodas. its not power, but it is related loosely to power. a bigger motor can and generally does produce more power. but, depending on year, fuel system, compression...
