My best friend has an Escalade, and I've ridden in it a lot. It's a great car. It rides like a dream and has a lot of power. She hasn't had any problems with it so far, and it looks great with custom rims on it. The 0-60 is pretty impressive for an SUV, it's like six seconds....but I have to say...

2009 Cadillac Escalade(or Escalade in general)?
Does anyone here drive one? I'm a fairly new driver but I've always wanted a Escalade. So boss. Anyways how's the fuel consumption and mileage on this car? Its practically an upscaled Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon. And since this is a GM truck, its the only Cadillac I would ever consider buying. Gas mileage is gonna be pretty bad, like all the others in this class. As for the people who drive them, there is one big group besides the old folks. Who? Todays...

Why should I also consider these? X

The Escalade’s main competition, in terms of features, comes from the Lincoln Navigator, but the look and feel of the Navigator is antiquated; it forgoes a flashy appearance for more conservative details.

The V-8 powering the Navigator provides adequate performance but comes up short against the Escalade.

The Aspen offers a wide range of luxury features, but it's a half-size smaller than the Escalade, yet isn't any less cumbersome—or much more fuel-efficient—to drive.

The Mercedes-Benz GL-Class is a little more manageable, but it's not quite as roomy inside either.

Both the QX56 and the LX 570 have some measure of off-road ability, but their on-road handling suffers.

None of these vehicles arguably have the reputation, recognition, and curb appeal that the Escalade enjoys in some circles.
