Can a radio signal malfuction cause my 2004 cadillac deville not to start. ?
when key put into ignition i get all lights on car but no radio or horn or door chime. battery is brand new but still tested. took car to shop it was put on machine for diagnosis , i was told it was signal in radio thats not connecting which tells the car to start ( part of theft detection system )

tehy might be on all the same fuse it is unlikely the radio part of it and more like the door chime but check those fuses

I bought 1 for cheap and my 01 Caddy engine is blown. I found a cheap 04 Deville one with 24k miles on it. Will it work? Do i need to verify the vin # to see if it will work? Please help. I need it ASAP before the guys sells it

Check the engine specs in the mechanics guide at your parts store. Then measure the layout of the motor mounts and if the match, it should work. I don't think GM made and block changes during that time!! Good luck!
