my 2004 cadillac cts says no communication with transmission code U0101 its automatic. speedometer isnt working car feels like it is trying to start out in 3rd and the reverse lights dont work . but i think that is just relays.

Have you tried taking it to a dealer to get it serviced? If you can afford a Caddy, you can afford that! Having said that, Yes it is Junk!

I was told that 42k miles on a 04 CTS cadillac isn't considered alot is this true?
I have a buddy that works for a cadillac dealership and he told me that the northstar engine is known for lasting almost 200k miles, can anyone give me anymore info on this? i am considering buying a 04 CTS with 42k miles

Low mileage on a car does not mean the car is in good condition. If the previous owner drives a lot of short distance and run a lot of errants, braeks and tires may be gone. You need to find out the maintenance history about this car. You may want to take it to your own mechanic to check it out...
