I have a 1998 megane 16 v 2 litre cabriolet. It drives like a dream but sometimes it wont start. I've noticed when it doesnt start a fan starts under the bonnet. get the TDC sensor checked (some times called the crank sensor), if the tdc sensor is failing it will cause the non starting problem and it often does not log a fault. try looking on the parkers forum under onwnership problems
