Problems getting access to rear brake lights in Audi A4 Cabriolet?
2 of my lights have gonbe in my 2005 Audi A4 Cabriolet - I have opened the boot, managed to undo a visible bolt, then manipulate a bit behin it - but the whole light cluster will not detach. They are notoriously a pain in the arse to access. why not ring your local audi dealership? they can advise you over the phone, they can't charge you for that! sometimes they're quite understanding and won't charge you for such a small job, depends who you get through too! Worth giving it a try...

Would it be anywhere near target to say that:: Bmws make a better engine and provide a shorter-lived transmission, while Audi packs a longer lasting Transmission but a relatively shorter-lived Engine? and I own a 2003 A4 cabriolet

Not necessarily true at all. BMW and Audi both make wonderful, competitive, high-quality automobiles. They both have very impressive longevity if properly maintained.
