I have a 3 year old 2007 AWD Subaru WRX. Recently, the rear left tire exploded. Right now I am using a spare tire. I was wondering whether replacing a single tire on my car will do anything with my gears in the future? If so, should I replace 2/3/4 tires?

A tyre won't affect Your gears. As a rule replace tyres in pairs, front or rear.

Probably more than getting it repaired, take it to a shop and see what they can do. Expect at least 500 for that.
