Edmunds Outstanding vehicle

Took delivery of a Limited AWD Hybird edition on 7/20. Sold the 2003 Highlander LTD to a family member. New 2006 has even better ride qualities with the Michelin tires vs Bridgestone Duelers. The shift between electric power and gas is seamless. It takes a little getting used to when you stop at a traffic light and realize the engine did not stall. You hear virtually nothing. Have averaged 30MPG...

Cars.com Best car I have owned (and a hybrid, too)

"This is a wonderful vehicle. It handles like an automobile (it is based on the Toyota Camry), has space like a SUV, and consumes gas like a hybrid. It has a very gentle ride, great suspension, very comfortable, turns with ease.I can't say anything bad about it, except that I wish Toyota would lower the price (and that more companies followed Toyota's example and came out with hybrid models).This...

Edmunds Stylish Step in the Right Direction

I've had my Limited AWD hybrid Highlander for one year now, and no problems yet. Its acceleration is a lot of fun. And its wood and leather interior, and "gold package" metal nameplates on the exterior, all give this vehicle a lot of style. Lack of telescoping steering wheel impacts driving comfort. Seats do not provide enough thigh support for the adults. Excellent acceleration. Normally adequately quiet to drive, but VERY noisy when...

Edmunds Arizona Highlander Hybrid Experience

Just turned 20,000 miles, and now get a consistent 28 mpg around town (not towing anything). Highway mileage totally depends on average speed: taking it easy, can get 29 mpg; 75-85 mph takes it down to 23mpg. However, after owning three Prius's, the POWER of the Highlander Hybrid is amazing. I've beat V8 powered vehicles off-the- line; much to their amazement. What they don't know is that with a...
