Why are tires for the Murcielago sooo expensive?!
Answered By L James Johnson, Contributing Writer:
You would expect a car like the Lamborghini Murcielago P640-4 Roadster, which costs $382,400, to have cheap tires? You can read more about this incredible driving machine at http://www.thecarconnection.com/overview/lamborghini_murcielago_2010#100305138. The 2009 Lamborghini option list for the Murielago included an additional set of rims and tires for $6,240. This option included Pirelli's P Zero Corsa tire, which Pirelli describes as being road/track ready, made with a racing-type compound, and ultra high performance. So the tires cost so much because they specifically designed for high-end sports cars and are track-ready.
