Q--I bought a Subaru Forester XT. I like it but find the turbo gauge attached to the steering column to be an obstruction in my view of other instruments, particularly the fuel gauge. I am going to have it taken out, but I was wondering if I would ever regret not having it. Is it useful for anything? The salesman said someone interested in performance might want to keep it if he has a manual transmission, but ours is automatic.
A--I say, if it annoys you, get rid of it. It serves no essential purpose.
