(2004 model shown)
Even if you could afford the exorbitant sticker price and have amassed enough driving prowess to master the race-ready MC12, there's no guarantee you'll ever be able to own one. Maserati produced only about 30 of them during 2004 (a few were sold as dedicated racers), and production is reportedly limited to only 24 units for the '05 model year, all to be painted in white and blue. The low-slung MC12 packs a 6.0-liter 12-cylinder engine under its long hood, while a removable hard top allows it to convert from a closed two-seat coupe to an open-air roadster. Its supportive seats are upholstered in fabric and perforated leather, and are constructed from a sturdy carbon-fiber structure. The car's interior is tastefully trimmed in carbon-fiber and aluminum accents.
