Brabus says its latest engine power kit for the Mercedes-Benz AMG models outfitted with 6.3-liter engines twists out more power than ever before.
With the kit, Brabus says AMG’s big V-8 engine raises power to 550 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. A CLS 63 AMG outfitted with the package, the tuning firm says, will shoot from 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds and will hit a top speed of 205 mph.
The Brabus B63 S package remaps the engine computer and recalibrates the V-8 AMG engine’s injection and ignition. Higher-performance catalytic converters have lower backpressure while meeting European emissions standards.
The B63 S setup can be ordered for any AMG vehicle with the new V-8 engine. The tuners recommend their locking differential on rear-drive Benzes, as well as tire and wheel combinations up to 23-inchers. Brabus also offers a module that updates the software controls for vehicle equipped with the Mercedes ABC suspension.
