Ford will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the 1932 Ford with aDearborn bash a week before the area’s annual Dream Cruise.

The celebration takes place August 9-12 in Dearborn, and also will fete the flathead V-8. Ford is planning a string of events for the weekend, including a swap meet, a concours d’elegance, a drive-in-movie date night, and a show at Greenfield Villageat the Henry Ford.

Ford’s “Deuce” originally sported a pricetag of $500 and was tagged a “revolutionary automobile.” A cottage hot-rod industry sprung up around it in the Fifties, and today, collector rods and restored coupes command prices well into the six figures.
