Expert Quotes:

Nissan Versa Sedan: 31 mpg city, 40 highway (CVT); 27/36 (5-sp manual); 26/35 (4-sp auto)
EPA

Nissan Versa Note (hatchback): 31 mpg city, 40 highway (CVT); 27/36 (5-sp manual)
EPA

Fuel economy ratings for the 2015 Nissan Versa tend to be most impressive if you get one of the models with the continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

EPA ratings for the entire lineup stand at 27/36 mpg for the five-speed manual or 26/35 with the conventional automatic. The Note isn't offered with the four-speed automatic transmission, however.

For S Plus CVT, SV, and SL models, if you get the CVT, you step up to ratings of 31 mpg city, 40 mpg highway; that's not stellar, but it's better than many vehicles in this class.

Conclusion

2015 Nissan Versa models with the CVT get the best mileage.

How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.
