Expert Quotes:

2014 Jaguar XK: 16/24 mpg, XK Coupe; 16/22 mpg, XK Convertible; XKR Coupe and Convertible, 15/22 mpg

The XKR gets an EPA-estimated 15/22 mpg city/highway and takes premium gas.

Rated between 15/22 mpg city/highway (supercharged engine) and 16/24 mpg city/highway (normally aspirated engine), the 2014 Jaguar XK coupe isn't the greenest car in its performance class, but it's not the worst, either.

The convertible rates the same at the lower end with the supercharged engine, at 15 mpg city and 22 mpg highway, but loses 2 mpg highway at the upper end for a 16/22-mpg rating.

There aren't any plans at the moment to improve these figures in the near future, either. The all-V-8 XK engine lineup is here to stay, and hybrid additions to the brand's portfolio aren't likely to find their way into the XK range.

How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.
