2014 Cadillac SRX Fuel Economy

6.0
On Fuel Economy

Considering all the other more fuel-efficient possibilities on the market, it's hard to make an argument for the Cadillac SRX if you're motivated to in any way 'buy green.'

EPA ratings for the Cadillac SRX land at 16 to 17 mpg in the city and 23 or 24 mpg on the highway. That's a stark contrast compared to the highway figures in the upper 20s or low 30s earned by models like the BMW X3 and Audi Q5 in their base form. Yes, both of those models have turbo four-cylinder engines, but they're about as quick.

Mileage is disappointing, for a vehicle that's barely mid-size.
And considering that a number of larger crossovers—like GM's own full-size SUVs such as the Buick Enclave, or even the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid—get around the same, with much more passenger space, or towing ability, it's impossible to call the SRX fuel-efficient.
