2012 Toyota RAV4 Fuel Economy

7.0
Fuel Economy

The 2012 Toyota RAV4 is a reasonably fuel-efficient pick, with EPA ratings as good as 22 mpg city, 28 highway with the four-cylinder engine. On the other hand, if you choose the V-6, and opt for four-wheel drive, ratings drop to 19/26.

If you take full advantage of all the RAV4's interior space and its three rows of seating, that still makes it a very efficient vehicle. But what's particularly surprising is that the Highlander isn't much more fuel-efficient than the larger Highlander--and you could actually do quite a bit better in choosing the Highlander Hybrid.

The 2012 Toyota RAV4 is relatively fuel-efficient, but it's not much greener than the larger Highlander.
