2007 Nissan Altima Page 1

A new Altima bows for '07 with a sleek new body that rides on a shortened (by one inch over the previous model) wheelbase and a 270-horsepower version of Nissan's well-regarded 3.5-liter DOHC V-6. This represents a new high water mark for the Altima, power-wise. Also, the V-6 engine is still available with a six-speed manual transmission, in contrast to the '07 Maxima, which now comes only with a CVT. As such, the '07 Altima may be considered the sportier of the two models despite the Maxima's storied reputation. Standard versions of the Altima will be powered, as before, by a 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine rated at 175 horsepower for 2007 (170 horsepower in California ). This engine may also be teamed with the six-speed manual gearbox, or you can choose the Xtronic CVT. All trims get both front-seat side impact and full-length head/curtain airbags. A gas-electric hybrid version of the '07 Altima will be coming later in the model year.
