With the addition of the subcompact Yaris to the lineup, the Corolla becomesToyota’s second least-expensive passenger car. A major redesign is expected for 2008, however, so the changes to the ’07 Corolla are minimal. The XRS model has been discontinued and the rated output of the Corolla’s standard 1.8-liter, four-cylinder engine has been downgraded slightly, from 130 horsepower previously to 126 horsepower for 2007. The loss reflects changes in the way engine power is measured and reported. The ’07 engine is essentially a carryover. Front-seat side and curtain airbags and anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) are available as options for all model grades.

The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.
