Top Rated: Pickup Truck

Pickup trucks are vehicles with an open cargo bed used to haul payload, not passengers. Trucks can have cab styles with seating for up to six passengers and even lockable storage behind or under the front and rear seats, but the open bed defines the body style, as does--usually--body-on-frame construction. Some mid-size and lighter-duty pickup trucks have been built from SUV and crossover body styles, but generally, those vehicles have lower towing and hauling capacities, as well as smaller open beds. The Car Connection applies the truck label to most vehicles with an open bed--even those with a bed that can be extended into the vehicle's cab--but not to open-bed vehicles derived from passenger cars.
