2008 Volvo S40 light bulbs?
As of now, I have factory light bulbs installed in my 2008 Volvo S40. They don't seem bright enough for me now. What I would like to do is install white headlights. When I am driving on teh road, I like those cars with white headlights and a slight blue tinge to them. Are there any headlights that offer that? And also, what type of light bulb...

Thinking of buying 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i, opinions/experiences?
I am thinking seriously of getting a 2007 or 2008 Volvo S40 Program car with the 2.4i 5 cylinder motor with automatic. No frills, no turbo. I hear they get good gas mileage as well. I would be replacing a 2000 VW diesel beetle. I would go back with a 2008-9 Jetta diesel, but diesel keeps going up and VW will charge too much for the option. Any...

Where can I purchase a BRAND NEW, NOT USED key fob for a 2008 VOLVO S40?
My dealership wants $200, I'd like to know where I could purchase one for a cheaper price.

Might as well get it from the dealer...its either give them $200 for theirs or pay them $300 to program yours.

Can I fix many problems on a 2006 or 2008 volvo s40 myself?
I want to know if I buy a later year volvo s40 if the average guy can replace a bad alternator, starter, timing belt, thermostat, brakes, fuel filter, water pump or would I have to take this car to the mechanic for that?
Source: Yahoo! Answers, 3 answers

Well I would actually have the dealer do stuff like that. Plus, I don't think that an alternator and starter would need replacing on a 06 or 08 Volvo. But the timing belt, water pump and that will have to be done at a dealer or mechanic. Fuel pump you can do yourself, thermostat, if you know...

Why should I also consider these? X

The 2008 Volvo S40 occupies an in-between price range, so it competes with luxury-brand rivals as well as affordable alternatives.

The Acura TSX, which includes the superior service of Acura dealerships, has especially nimble handling, a good ride, and impressive fuel efficiency, but its backseat is somewhat cramped.

Another possibility is the Subaru Impreza; in its base 2.5i form, it’s a much more affordable alternative, with standard all-wheel drive and performance from its horizontally opposed four-cylinder engine similar to the base five in the Volvo.

And the Impreza WRX offers performance that rivals the T5, at a lower price.

The Saab 9-3 is another alternative, bringing good, sharp handling and decent performance, but its ride can be choppy and its interior isn’t especially roomy.

The Jetta may provide the most value in this class for those who are completely practically minded.

Its five-cylinder engine offers performance that’s very comparable to that in the standard 2.4i model, with similar equipment and a backseat that’s a bit roomier, at a price that’s close to $10,000 less.

That said, if safety features are the priority and you’re willing to pay the extra money for them as options, the S40 is unbeatable.
