2003 passat speaker removal?
I need to replace my rear speakers but cannot figure how to remove the speakers. they are not held in with bolts or screws, am i an idiot or is this more than a regular job? i looks like there is no way to remove them.

there are four rivets holding it in drill the head off each one use rivets to install the new speaker

2003 VW Passat climate control swap from W8 to GLS?
Is it possible to install the electronic climate control (which comes standard in the W8 model) in the GLS? Has anyone ever successfully done this? I can't even find one for sale anywhere online. Only serious answers please.

Yes it is possible but not practical. You would need to buy about $2500 dollars worth of parts to make the change. It's not just the control panel that's different. Then you would need to get them installed and wired in so figure about $700 to $1000 for that.
