What kind of license plate screws does my 1999 Volkswagen Passat need?
I tried some of the standard screws and they were either too big or too small. The guy at Auto Zone said I need one that's kind of a short screw because the hole isn't very deep. If you know of which screws I need and where to get them, that would be very helpful. Thanks!

The resistor pack plugs into the air stream box, about 5 inches from the fan. Just follow the wire from the fan to the resistor pack.

How to unlock the anti theft on a 1999 passat?
My car wont start and i have a feeling it has something to do with the anti theft system. is there any way i can unlock it?

Make sure all of the doors and hood are completely closed. Put key in the drivers door and turn to lock until you hear the beep. Turn again until you hear the beep. Then turn to unlock once, then twice, then one more time. Get in a try to start. Reference:Experience.

Can't open door: 1999 VW Passat?
I can't open the driver side door with the key. So to get in, I have to open the the passenger side door and open all the doors using the power lock. And to lock the car, also I have to use the passenger side power lock. They keyless entry does not work. I need to fix the lock and get a new key with keyless entry. Where should I get my car fixed?...

VW dealer the locks are coded, but you may just have a bad connection in the door switch so check that first
