The easiet answer would be the thermostat. It could be stuck in the closed position thats why your starting to overheat. Any water in the crankcase? Is the engine mis-firing? What color is the exhaust gases? In any case, your car is only 5 years old...low mileage...check the thermostat first.

I definitely think a Lada would be a better bet than German junk.

VW Beetle Convertible TURBO Discontinued for 2006?
I'm looking to buy a convertible VW New Beetle, either a 2005 or 2006. I want the Turbo model for more power. But every time I search listing or articles I don't see a turbo model for 2006 and later. Is this because turbo became standard in 2006? What car is more powerful, a 2005 Turbo VW Beetle or a 2006 VW Beetle. I'm so confused...

There is a new non turbo motor called the 2.5 FSI in 2006 models. A way more realible motor, with quite a bit of zip. I'm going to say "Faster" than a stock old turbo motor. I have a 2006 Volkswagen New Beetle. A dashboard warning light is on that is square with 3 icons ?
It is located at @ 2 O'clock on the dash display. Does anyone know what this may be?
