I have a 2000 VW Beetle and the check engine light came on?
I took it to Auto Zone and it said there was something wrong with the transmission. Either a transmission flush or a transmission replacement. I don't know how much either would cost and I was wondering if it was still safe to drive to and from work, no more than ten miles a day. Thanks in advance.

Honestly none of us can tell you what is truly wrong, but as a starting point, your owners manual, or some likeness of an owners manual you might find online or check out from a library should show you where you can check all of your fluid levels. You have transmission fluid, and I'm presuming...

What's the issue you're having? The 98-2003 TDIs are very basic engines. Fuel tank, lines, fuel filter, lines, injection pump, lines, injectors. That's really all there is to it.

I have a 2000 VW Beetle and the fan won't blow at all on a/c or heat. What might be the problem?

1 always start at fuse 2 doesnt work at all? most switch failures are partial,,nothing but high working 3 hook up fan motor direct to 12 v,,see if it runs best bet? see your mechanic
