99 VW Jetta not cranking in morning?
Since it has been getting colder through the night, when I go to crank my car around 7ish it won't crank. I can leave it alone to around 10 and it will crank right up. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, I live in south Georgia so it's not freezing by any means. Last night I left the slow charger on my battery and it did not good.

If you unplug your battery of a 99 Jetta will it stop working once you connect it again?
I am scared to disconnect my battery for the fear that it will not start once I re-connect it. I was told that and I am not sure if it is true. I don't know about foreign cars...HELP!!!

The only 'sorta' truth to that is that sometimes when a battery is disconnected, and reconnected in a car equipped with an alarm, is that sometimes the alarm will disable the ignition system. Just press the little button on the key ring to reset it.

Sounds like the guy is honest; and witty as well. Ask what parts were replaced. VWs at that mileage need a timing belt and a water pump and serpentine belt. Most small fuel-effecient cars have timing belts; they have to be replaced too. If these parts were replaced, then its a decent car IMO. But...
