My VW Golf Mk 2 will only start if the clutch pedal is down? when i put it in gear and try to pull away it cuts out abrupptly with no forwards movement. I have changed the clutch friction disc, cover and release bearing.... i am thinking maybe the gear box??there were some small fragments in the gear oil fluid when drained.. I am not sure if its...

That was not a safety feature on MK2 VW's. Only on more modern cars. If there are small fragments of metal in your gear oil you may have broken your differential. VW differentials are notorious for wearing through their rivets and self-destructing the gearbox. Usually a hole is punched out of the...

hey every one, i've a mk3 1993 with a beautiful new engine 1.9L Diesel 2001 (not a turbo one ) but it's quite slow, i want to swap it with a 2.0L, is it possible? will i have a problem? wish year must be a 2.0 engine to fit in my car? how much horsepower i'll get with a 2.0 L engine ( i don't wanna to buy a car with a 2.0L engine ) ( just tuning )...

There are many engaging competitors, though.
