The check engine light in my Toyota Tundra keeps coming on. Can't find the problem. Any help?
I have a 2003 Toyota Tundra V8 4WD Access Cab. The check engine light repeatedly comes on. The code reads something to the tune of "Fuel System leak detected." I have read through several online forums and have read similar stories such as changing the gas cap, changing the fuel filler tube, Oxygen sensor replacement, etc. I tried changing the gas...

Take it to a shop and have the perform a smoke test on the for the evap. code. Wait a minute; your not one of those people that tries to squeeze in a little more gas after the pump clicks off. If you are you are the problem. Reference:Old mechanic/parts guy

People with Toyota Tundras????
Have you experienced the check engine light a lot? Also problems towing because too much frame flex? Caused damage to frame? My friend stopped his bragging about his Tundra once his Tundra started to fail.... Are you experiencing any of these problems with your Tundra? (I still think the Tundra is a better truck than chevy, but not Dodge or Ford.)...

You think the Toyota Tundra is so good. Try this. Open your favorite Internet search page. Search for "Tundra Frame Flex", without the quotes. You will very quickly understand why these trucks are VERY over rated. I would take a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge before I would get a Toyota.

Fender Flares on a toyota tundra?
want to know if anyone thinks fender flares or have any pictures of what it would look like on a 2000 toyota tundra double cab, and how much would it cost if i wanted to get them painted the same color.
Source: Yahoo! Answers, 1 answer

A couple hundred bucks to get them painted the same color. Here's some pictures. http://www.car-stuff.com/mmparts/toyota-tundra/fender_flares.html http://images.google.com/images?sourceid=navclient&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-47,GGLG:en&q=2000%20tundra%20fender%20flares&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi...

uh...there are many other trucks and SUV's that are affordable that would suit your taste...maybe you just have to work your way up to it until you can afford it. Best wishes

Why should I also consider these? X

Whatever the purpose, there's a Tundra for it.

But that's also the case for the full-size rivals from Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, and Dodge.

What makes the Tundra genuinely different is its unique approach to interior design, as well as a smidge more standard-feature content than the others.

The Nissan Titan stands out from the crowd as more oriented toward personal use, with some still-innovative cargo solutions and good performance—though its mileage is mediocre and it only offers a single large V-8.

Both the best-selling Ford F-150 and Dodge Ram were redesigned for 2009; the F-150 gets a new interior and improved refinement, while the Ram has some segment-leading tech and entertainment features inside, along with vastly improved ride and handling.

The Chevy Silverado and the nearly identical GMC Sierra continue to have strong appeal because of their very functional interiors (including separate interiors for work and personal trims), and their line of V-8 engines are especially fuel-efficient.
