I'm looking to buy a 2001 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner. How can I expect it to do offroad?
It has the TRD off road package. How will it compare to a 4X4?

Sorry i answered the other question thinking it was a 4X4! If you are going to be in snow or off roading frequently this is not the truck you want! Save a little more money and buy a 4X4 Tacoma! You will not regret it, i promise! Reference:Owner 2003 Tacoma 4X4 TRD Pkg

The check engine light on my 2001 toyota tacoma came on and is giving me a p0171 code (system to lean bank 1)?
what could it be i don;tthink is the oxigen sensor, also is burning way to much fuel and you could smell gases coming out of the pipe when before it was just an odor less vapor. before it was doing like 20-22 mpg now is between 14-17mpg. i would apriciate a logical answer. almer_mayor@hotmail.com

The mileage and the smell are symptoms, not the problem. A P0171 is most often caused my the MAF sensor, the one in the tube near the air filter. If you remove it (two screws), turn it over and look very carefully down inside the sensor, you will probably see two little bumps (the actual sensors)...

Possible to drop a 350 V8 into a 2001 tacoma?
I've heard that there is an easy conversion that mainly involves new motor mounts and that a chevy 350 will bolt right up to my transmition. I dont see it being that easy. Take it to a tranny place because if it is not done rite you will blow the tranny. That happen to me and ir cost me 2 grand to fix it.
