Technically speaking its not a recall.. Its an inspection for corrosion in the frame and I believe it includes Canadian vehicles also but I would call a dealer in Canada to find out for sure... Reference:Toyota service dept employee

How do I replace the emergency brake cable to my 1998 Toyota tacoma truck?
The cable snapped at the end of the emergengy brake release rod. I can not figure out how to remove the old cable anchor and attach the new one. The rest is easy enough to do, I just don't have any experience with this part of the repair. Thanks in advance for any help.

Can you say, "pain in the neck?" Look under the dash at the parking brake lever. Follow it toward the firewall until you find where a small silver lever contacts the e-brake light switch. (It will be on the brake pedal side. You have to remove that pin, which is pressed into place. With it removed...

How do I tell if my 1998 Toyota Tacoma is a 2.4L or 2.7L?
I need to do an oil change and I'm trying to figure out what's the oil capacity is. It's a stick, 4cyl, but I don't know how to figure out whether it's a 2.4L or 2.7L. I checked the owner's manual but got nothing out of it.
