2008 toyota sienna Dead Battery?
I have a 2008 Toyota Sienna that the battery died on this morning. We had the electric rear seats folded and couldn't get to the jumper cables. Is there a release lever that could raise the seats without needing the electricity?

Check your insurance policy. If you dont have road service, add it. Very economical. & get a jump-box so you can jump start your own vehicle. Consumer Reports recommended a Black & Decker model, $40, which I got & used. Size of a boombox. Goof by Toyota, having seats that way.

Should I buy the extended warranty on a 2008 Toyota Sienna?
It's $899 and extends the warranty from 35,000 miles to 60,000 miles.

The Toyota sienna's are very reliable and will last you for a long while. My friend has a 98' Toyota sienna XLE, it's only ever had one problem and that was a squek in the door, that $ 899 will pay for something better than a person's paranoia. Put it towrads something that might pay off later on...

The Passport to Performance that came with the car (along with the owner's manual) has the entire maintenance schedule. It won't list a timing belt, though, because your engine uses a timing chain. It never needs replacement under normal conditions...

2008 Honda Odyssey vs. 2008 Toyota Sienna?
Which one is better and why. Two adults in family, three kids.

I would definitely take a look at previous Odyssey problems. I have a 2002 Odyssey. I am just over my warranty at 79,000 miles and the transmission has failed. The dealership says new transmission is $3600. To me, it feels like Honda doesn't design their vehicles to last past 75,000 miles. To get...

The Sienna’s styling looks a bit dated next to the new-for-2008 Chrysler minivans and several other vans that have been redesigned since the Sienna’s last redesign for 2004.

But most notably, the 2008 Toyota Sienna has available all-wheel drive, while these rivals do not.

Otherwise, they’re quite equivalent in terms of engine power and overall interior space, but seat arrangements present a significant difference between the models and trims.

In this group, the Town & Country has the widest range of configurations, from a standard second-row bench arrangement to the innovative Stow ‘n’ Go, which allows the second and third rows to fold fully into the floor, and Swivel ‘n’ Go, which allows the second row to turn 180 degrees.

In terms of driving, the Honda Odyssey remains the most enjoyable on a twisty road, but the Entourage has surprisingly good performance, too, as does the Quest.

Despite some flaws, such as ride quality and a questionable reliability record, the Quest is the more fashionable choice for those who must have a minivan but don’t want a vehicle that completely blends in with all the other minivan models.
