1988 Toyota MR2 or 2003 Mazda Miata Mx-5?
The two cars probably could not be more different or similiar. I currently have a 1988 MR2 that has no problems, but i am getting an itch to buy a 2003 Miata i see for sale. Here is a picture or two of my MR2. So would you rather have the Miata or the Mr2 ? http://img689.imageshack.us/i/dsc003191.jpg/ http://img541.imageshack.us/i/picju.jpg/

unload the mr2 asap its older, there are very few parts available due to its strange design, and if it has no problems you got lucky, this is a well known pile of crap of a car, the mazda is newer and should do you right and there are plenty of parts available.

Seriously? If the "safety rating" makes a difference to you, you're looking at the wrong car. Obviously, it's safe enough to be sold here and driven on US roads, according to the NHTSA. Beyond that, it's a convertible roadster - what were you hoping for? Side curtain airbags?

My 2003 MR2 spyder dashboard lights died but everything else works anyone know what the problem is?

is there a dimmer switch you may have bumped? or an external fuse box like under the hood? i'd check both of those

Where is the MAF sensor on my 2003 Toyota MR2 Spyder?
and what does it look like? IE: how many wires coming out of it, approximate size, etc) If you know the approximate location under the hood that would be helpful too

your MFA MASS AIR FLOW sensor is located near the air filter housing and has approximately 3-8 wire connector
