Having driven both of these cars, I'd say the short answer is that you can't really go wrong with either one. They're both excellent midsize SUVs. Which one is better, though, depends on what you're looking for. The main difference is that the Pilot is bigger than the Highlander, and feels like it...

Problem with my Highlander?
I have a 01 Toyota Highlander Limited. When I turn on the A/C or the defrost there is a squeaking in the engine area. Is there a belt i need to tighten or is it something else? any help?

the ribbed type belts tend to get tiny little pebbles embedded in the belt, kicked up from the road. When they roll over the pulleys they make noise, squeeks and sometimes even sound like a bad bearing. Belt replacement time. You dont want to over tighten them and damage the compressor. What about...
