That's quite a wish list. just a couple things that are strange to me. First, all that power and brake work and 235 tires? You know your brakes can only stop you as quickly as the tires will allow. And springs? Why not some coilovers? And a .58 hot side on a roughly 60 lb/min turbo is insanely...

I have a 2009 subaru legacy. what other years and models of subaru can i use for a motorswap?
i would prefer a wrx motor but i dont know if it can be done without spending alot of money

If you have the non turbo version, it will be costly. A WRX or even an STI engine will fit right in. The problem is your ECU is not equipped to run the turbocharged engine so you will need to swap ECU's and most of if not all of the wiring harness as well and that is a lot of work so it's...

2009 Legacy Limited with 27,000 miles and bad cat. converter?
loss of power. dealer told me i need new front and rear cat. converter which are covered under the warantee. is it normal for a car with only 27,000 miles to need a new cat. converter? Thanks.

This is not normal at all. There are generally two things that would destroy a catalytic converter in as little as 27,000 miles -- raw (unburned) gasoline getting into the cat, or putting gasoline with lead into the tank. Has the car been run out of gas, perhaps more than once, with difficulty...

I have a 2009 subaru legacy with only 16k on the car and there is metal shavings on the tranny dipstick?
iam the second owner, do you think the first owner abused the tranny? ive never seen shavings on a dipstick with so little miles on a car.

If it is under warranty, take it to the dealer and let them check it out. Don't wait until your transmission fails.
