Hi, I have a 2001 Subaru legacy Wagon with 220,000 miles on it (only had for about 7 years or so, still drives great). recently i noticed a squeaking noise coming from the front of the car when i make slow turns or when pulling in/oout of parking spaces. it sounds like brakes, but the brakes are not always used when this happens. does anyone know...

Well it could be that the pads were not lubricated and are chattering against the rotor. Its a common problem out here in arizona.

Low-beam headlight bulb on a 2001 subaru legacy wagon?
Does anyone know how to change out a low-beam headlight on a 2001 subaru legacy wagon? or can you direct me to a link that explains it?

It's probably just a small Halogen bulb in the center of the light fixture - the high & low beam are in the same bulb & it should unscrew with a Quarter turn counter clockwise, (should) DON'T TOUCH the NEW BULB with your hands !! IF U do it will burn out fast - Use soft cloth or paper to install it...

2001 Subaru Legacy Wagon Coolant Check?
I have an 01 Subaru Legacy Wagon that has coolant level in the reserve tank which is slightly below the lower line (about 1/4 - 1/2 inch). I cant really tell how much is left in there, but i have to make an hour drive (50 miles) before i can take it to my mechanic, should i go get a thing of coolant and top it off myself or is it safe to wait? any...

Now is about the time for your front exhaust donut gasket to give out. I have a 2000 Subaru Outback, and mine went out last year. It literally dried up all fluid in my tank. Check to see if the gasket is still intact. Also, a mix of 50/50 will last you longer to the mechanic than just plain water...

Hello, I have a 2001 Subaru Legacy Wagon and I am having problems with the emergency flashers. When I purchased the car, the switch on the top of the steering column wouldn't work - which was largely ok because the flashers were not activated. Recently a friend drove the car and hit the switch on top of the column - it worked for him unfortunately...

In any Subaru I've ever owned the rocker switch on top of the steering wheel is for the parking lights, not the flashers. The flasher button is located in the center of the dash just above or below the heater controls.
