Can I run a different size tire on my Subaru?
I drive a 2008 Subaru Legacy sedan and the factory tire size is 205/50/17. I want to put a set of winter wheels/tires on and found a great deal on a full set of mounted and balanced winter tires that are size 205/70/15. They would be 4.65% larger then the current tires. Just so this is clear: I am not looking to run two different sizes. I would be...

Those 15" tires will be too tall to be ideal. The correct 15" tire size to maintain the same overall diameter would be P195/65R15 which is quite a difference. Reference:I work in the tire industry

I am looking to buy a1993 Subaru Legacy sedan it is red with 125,000 km on it,?
FWD and drives well. It has PW, PDL, AM/FM/CD 2.2 litre DOHC engine, new tires and front axles. No leaks and drives good , the body looks alright too. They are asking 2,500. What should I pay? It's kilometres not miles. miles is about 78,200 miles.

That mileage seems low for that year. Have it checked by a mechanic you trust. If it is in really good shape and the mileage check out, I would say offer between 1.5 to 2k, but start low

I have a 1995 Subaru Legacy sedan that has started making a squeaking noise sometimes when I accelerate - why?
It doesn't squeak or squeal when I apply the brakes (and I just had a brake job done on it about 5 months ago)... just does it occasionally when I accelerate.

Would a 96 subaru legacy sedan stand a chance against a 97 impreza RS sedan in a race?
just wondering cause the RS' engine is a 1.8 and the legacy is a 2.2. and i know nothing about cars thats why i ask this question im talking about a 1/4 mile

It depends on the type of race, and the distance of the race. So yes it would stand a chance, but it will probably loose the race.

Why should I also consider these? X

With its standard all-wheel drive and more of a reputation for performance than for being a bread-and-butter family vehicle, the 2008 Subaru Legacy competes with some of the more exciting-to-drive mid-size sedans, along with the most affordable of the European sports sedans.

The Altima and Passat are both sporty mid-size sedans that have very attractive, comfortable interiors, though the Altima doesn't offer all-wheel drive and the Passat only offers it with the more expensive V-6 model.

The Audi A4 is a more formidable alternative, with its fuel-efficient 2.0T powertrain, quattro all-wheel drive, and very attractive, upscale interior.

Finally, Volvo and Subaru buyers have long overlapped, and the Volvo S60 has several sensible and attractive all-wheel-drive models.

Neither of them offers performance like the GT Spec.B, but the S60 has a better ride and more comfortable interior.
