Bearings and rings act as crank support and piston seals respectively. They contribute nothing to the horsepower of an engine. Reference:Been repairing and restoring cars for over 50 years.

i know that since these cars are all wheel drive;they're not too good with top end. What would be some good ways to make it faster (other than upgrading the turbo) and hel[p performance?

Turbo back exhaust cobb accessport down pipe. you would be stage 2 with that, but you would also void your warranty. You might want to get better brakes. i went with the hawks and i also did Goodridge stainless steel braided brake lines. Basically everything -bean- said Stay away from BOV's and...

I have a subaru 2006 impreza. it makes a funny idle noise on the right side. only when in low rpms..what is it?
it's a 2006 subaru impreza with about 30k miles. The noise feels like it's coming from the passenger side but under the hood. I give it a lil gas and the right side rattles. when i'm driving or when in idle. when i give it more gas it goes away. but will always come back in low rpms. This started yeterday from the crappy weather. any ideas? heat...
