Do Scion XAs normally have a sort of slight guttural sound to the (presumed exhaust) system?
I test drove a 2005 Scion XA today and it was great except it had this low guttural type sound when accelerating. From experience, it sounds like a noise that I've heard in cars that have a leak in the exhaust. However, the noise disappeared once the car was driving at a steady pace. I'm wondering if I should be concerned or if this is a normal...

Scion are designed and built by Toyota their exhaust are sport tuned. However from the vehicle you drove it could be leak to be checked.

Scion xA turbo or supercharged?
Hey guys what's up... i got an 2005 Scion xA and it's an automatic, i want to get more power... so i was thinking to add a turbo or supercharger what do you think? does the engine and gear box will hold?

if you owned a Scion tC id be all over this question because thats my specialty but since its an xA im not sure. what i "hear" is that it should be good. but everytime you turbo an automatic its best to get a Transmission Cooler with it. And around 230-250hp you should look into get Valve...

How can I make my Scion xA (Toyota iST) ride smoothly? It's bumpy.?
Its a 2002. I've owned it since 2005. It's riding the same as when I bought it. I think the tires have been on it since new. Its a stock standard car - no sporty upgrades. It's a hard ride. There is nothing you can do except replace the suspension with new factory suspension but it will always give a bumpy ride because Toyota made it too light. Call it "Engineering ineptitude". Reference:CV

What do i need to turbo my car?
It's a 2005 scion xA 1nzfe engine... A/T let me now what do i need... i know a few stuff, but i want to make sure i'm right on them. Thanks a lot ;)
