I belive the engines are different they using a Camry engine now rofl. but its still a pretty hefty 4 banger on the 08-09 models! Don't be fooled! I recommend you grab an 09 model or 08 right away! Good luck brother! ShiX-

I really want a Scion. I've been obsessed about them for a long time. And while I really like the first generation xB's, I'd really like a tC. Being the mormon that I am, I will be serving my 2 year mission starting this summer. So, rather than buy a car now, and keep it in storage (or have my family drive it), I plan on buying it when I get back...

You can find them cheaper than that. $12k is pretty high for an '08. You can expect it to drop a couple of thousand. I'd shop around until you find a good deal on one, though.

i wanted da scion tC 2008 but wen i look at the review dere's like a couple complain.. but its my first car.. so i don't know which one is better.. jus lookin at da performance.. not the look because i don't like da way the camry look especially the light.. can yu guy give meh some opinion on what to get? thankyou

For 2008, the Ford Focus is available in a new coupe body style; with a more distinctive, quieter interior than before and more available convenience features, such as the SYNC communications and entertainment interface, the Focus offers a very compelling package for the money, even if it isn’t as much fun to drive as the 2008 Scion tC.
The Honda Civic coupe feels sportier than the Focus and the tC, but its engine isn’t as torquey for ordinary driving, and its interior feels a bit more cramped.
Like the tC, it’s also quite loud inside on coarse surfaces.
The Pontiac G5 and Hyundai Tiburon might also be worth consideration, but both of them feel rather outdated for different reasons.
The interior of the G5 feels subpar in appearance and quality, while the Tiburon sacrifices a lot of interior space for a curvaceous exterior shape that is no longer in vogue.
