My transmission fluid is a little black within my 2007 35k scion tc.?
I actually got my car checked by the scion/toyota dealership near me and they told me the transmission is fine, and the reason why the fluid is a little dark is because when you change it, only about a third is taken out, while the rest still sits there. now my car was serviced where i bought it, and they told me the same thing. my real question...

at 35K?? first when was it changed to begin with? i, sadly have and automatic, and they told me the fluid is normally changed and flushed at 95K miles for the first time. im not to sure on the manuel. and anything like tranny fluid is going to get dark/black... put a brownish tan oil in your car...

I think I answered your question in another thread, but it cost me a little over 20k after everything for a brand new 2007 Azure Pearl Scion tC (manual) with no options selected. Unless you count tinted windows which is a must for me.

there is a big difference in 06 and 07 (and up.) the 07+ 2AZ engine in the tC now features oil squirters on the pistons, and bigger MAF sensor on the intake, the exhaust flange is slightly modified, pistons and rods are also new, giving the compression ratio a bump from 9:6 to 9:8. a measly 1hp...
