I believe it was not released because it was manufactured in the US in the same plant as the Chevy Trailblazer and GMC Envoy. The 9-7X was really just a rebadged and only slightly modified version of the Chevy and GMC suvs. GM probably assumed that the Australian market didn't have quite the...

Check the owners manual. I have provided a link to one here: http://www.extendedgmwarranty.com/owners-manual/saab/2005-Saab-9-7x.pdf If you go to page 5-50 (pg 302 of the scan), it will tell you step by step with picture on how to do exactly as you ask. You need a phillips screw driver and it...

It's the GM system. Saab 97x mechanicals are identical (except for suspension) with the Chevy Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Oldsmobile Bravada, Buick Rainier, as well as the Isuzu Ascender. Ascender and Bravada are out of production. The selectable 4wd system is not available in the Buick Rainier...

If you still need a truck-based SUV for towing and want something a little different or more styling, the Mercury Mountaineer first comes to mind.

It’s mechanically the same as the Ford Explorer, which, by now, is a very competitive model with good performance and plenty of standard safety features, yet the Mountaineer comes with a more upscale look inside and out.

These models offer third-row seating and available V-8 engines.

The Chrysler Aspen is a Dodge Durango in upscale trim, with a big grille as its chief distinction, but the Aspen and Durango arguably are more cumbersome to drive, yet don’t have much more room inside.

The Toyota 4Runner is a relatively new entry under an old nameplate; it handles a bit better than most of the other vehicles in this class and has a full roster of safety features.
