2008 Saab 9-3 Sedan...good car?? Your thoughts? ?
Was looking at this car. They have some good rebates and cash back right now. I currently own a 2004 Audi A4. It is expensive to maintain now that the original warranty has expired. I am into my extended warranty but it doesn't seem to cover too much. Is the Saab just as pricey to maintain? Also, my Audi seems to have a lot of electrical issues. I...

The Saab 9-3 would be an excellent choice. They can be pricey to fix, if you ever have to, but the warranty is good and you really shouldn't have to worry about anything. Volkswagen makes Audi, and they are both notorious for having electrical and mechanical problems. It is impossible to keep...

looks common to me, but its nice

Nissan What Hatchback Assuming Versa 31 miles a gallon EPA rating. Saab is a higher performance car and weights more. I would suspect 2.0 turbo Saab to only get 29 mpg under light throttle. And a lot less fuel milage under acceleration and it is 6 years old. Reference:Nissan Master Technician

NO. Different bolt pattern.

Why should I also consider these? X

In base form, the 2008 Saab 9-3 sedan competes with the A4 2.0T, which also comes with a torquey turbocharged four-cylinder engine.

Next to the 9-3, the A4 has an especially upscale interior, even though the Saab’s cabin feels pleasantly different than other cars in its class.

The Subaru Legacy GT, with its 250-horsepower turbocharged version of the automaker’s flat-four engine, is priced about the same as the base 9-3 and offers similar performance, though it comes with standard all-wheel drive, a feature only offered on the top 9-3 Turbo X.

Its Swedish rival, the S60, is also worth consideration; the S60 has more passenger comfort but doesn’t feel nearly as sporty.

At the top end of the 9-3’s range, the BMW 3-Series might also be considered, especially in top 335xi trim.

This is where the less recognized 9-3 seems priced a little high, at about the same as the BMW.
