2003 Pontiac Vibe - Can't unlock door with ignition key?
I recently bought a used 2003 Pontiac Vibe. I left the lights on overnight, and the battery died. The keyless entry remote didn't work of course, since the car's battery was dead. I tried to open the car with my actual key, and it would not open. I had always used the remote before then, so I never had tried using the key in the doors. I ended up...

The ignition and door lock(s) obviously do NOT match. You can take the VIN to a Pontiac Dealer and have them check to see if it's the ignition that's been changed out or the door lock(s). It's most likely the ignition that was was replaced unless your door key lock is only on one door. In that...

'03 Pontiac Vibe. the light on the gear selector would not turn on, what's wrong.?
the light on the gear selector would not turn on even though all the rest of the lights work fine. I tried the low/high beams, DRL, they all work but that light. I assume that there is no fuse for that light only. Also, I don't know how to open that part to check if the bulb is gone. Thanks!!!

The gear selector backing lighting circuit is tied into your headlight selector switch. If all other back lighting works , I`m pretty sure your need to change the light bulb

Can anyone explain me why the vibe 1.8l (2007) uses more gas that 2004?
I used to get 34-36 MPG with my old 2003, vibe 1.8l. But the 2007 model I am driving now is not able to make over 31 MPG on the highway. From Syracuse to Baltimore, my monthly trip, I used to use 3/4 of my tank, roughly 9 gallons with my old Vibe. But with the 2007 model I always have to make a stop before I reach Baltimore because the low fuel...

Why should I also consider these? X

The Toyota Matrix is very similar to the Pontiac Vibe.

The Mazda 3 has a stiffer ride, and its cabin allows more road noise.

The Kia Spectra5 is a bit perkier and more fun to drive, but like the Mazda 3, it doesn't have available all-wheel drive.

AWD is standard on the Subaru Impreza, which is more expensive and isn't as roomy or fuel-efficient.

However, the Impreza has an attractive interior design for the hatchback and a torquey horizontally opposed engine, along with better safety ratings (the Impreza is an IIHS Top Safety Pick).

Electronic stability control is standard on the Matrix, but not available on any of these other models.
