It should be inside the airbox. Just take the airbox a part (there will be a few small screws, nothing major or crazy) and then you will see the filter and you can remove/clean it.

2009 Pontiac Vibe Key Fob?
I got my 2009 Pontiac Vibe from an average car dealer/dealership. It was previously a rental car (in case that has something to do with this) and it came with a key fob on the key. Can I tow a 2009 Pontiac Vibe 4 wheels down?
Source: Yahoo! Answers, 2 answers

It depends. If it is all wheel drive, Pontiac does not recommend dinghy towing. The FWD model can be towed IIRC. But for the life of me, I can't find it in my training info. It was something they covered, though, and I remember clearly that the AWD can't be towed that way.

The Toyota Matrix is very similar to the Pontiac Vibe.

The Mazda 3 has a stiffer ride, and its cabin allows more road noise.

The Kia Spectra5 is a bit perkier and more fun to drive, but like the Mazda 3, it doesn't have available all-wheel drive.

AWD is standard on the Subaru Impreza, which is more expensive and isn't as roomy or fuel-efficient.

However, the Impreza has an attractive interior design for the hatchback and a torquey horizontally opposed engine, along with better safety ratings (the Impreza is an IIHS Top Safety Pick).

Electronic stability control is standard on the Matrix, but not available on any of these other models.
