Yes, you have to program the VIN# into it unless the place you bought it from already did that for you.

The seal on the lights has gone bad you will need to replace them. I have also seen some people drill out a very tiny hole in the bottom of the lights to drain the water. Reference:GM dealer.

2002 Silverado extended cab?
It has 60,000 miles for $10,000. The dealer will give me $5000 on my 2004 Pontiac Grand Am with 85,000 miles. Is this a good move? besides the gas milage, which vehicle is more likely to last longer?

Gas Mileage aside: The Silverado will certainly last a lot longer than the Grand Am. You should also have fewer repair bills with the truck than the Grand Am. Reference:GM Parts Consultant

Is a 2002 Grand Am good 4 cylinder?
My mother's aunt left her a car when she went to a nursing home. My mom is willing to sell it to me for $2500, it has less than 21,000 miles on it and is a 4 cylinder. Anyone know about these cars? Are they safe, it is a coupe. I have two kids and safety is important to me, but at the same time I can not afford to keep dumping money on repairs...

I would jump on that car fast. Excellent deal. Pretty reliable car. I've owned a couple, and still own 1. Never had a problem with any of them.
